Mission and Beliefs

Columbia Virtual Academy

“In every child there’s genius to unfold. With wisps of knowledge.
Thoughts shared. Moments private, but not alone.
Growth is opportunity.
Choice is yours. Support is abundant.
Here. Take it.”

 Orient School District #65

Child Find Notice

The Orient School provides many programs for the children in our school district at no cost to you. The school offers special programs such as speech therapy, physical and occupational therapy,
Title/LAP and special education academic programs, and preschool classes to children three years and older.

Developmental screenings and/or comprehensive assessments for children who are suspected of having a disability that could adversely affect their educational development are available at no cost to you. These services are available for persons between the ages of birth through 21 years of age with suspected disabilities, including highly mobile children with disabilities (such as migrant and homeless children). Children suspected of having a disability and in need of special education (even though they are advancing from grade to grade) who are residing within the boundaries of the Local Education Authority and not currently receiving special education services, are identified, located and evaluated through Child Find.

Appointments or further information can be obtained by contacting the school office at (509) 684-6873.
